Galateca

We love contemporary art and in the same time we wanted to do something different from what already exists on the Romanian art scene. Galateca is an evolving project, a developing project, a gallery of applied and multimedia arts and design, whose roots are already anchored in the tradition of its hosting space, “Carol I” Central University Library. It started with CARTE (book) and became C’ARTE. It began with the printed word and will get to the latest forms of
communication in art and crafts. It set out to jazz up and enliven the ideal space situated in the most beautiful square in Bucharest, while experimenting in a continually and multidisciplinary way.
