Diapason d’or de l’ année for Simon Trpceski, Vasily Petrenko and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

The youngest of three children and born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1979, classical pianist Simon Trpceski errs towards concerto repertory and tackling challenging compositions by Rachmaninov, Liszt and Prokofiev. Hugely popular in his homeland, Trpceski regularly tours across the US, Canada, Europe, the Far East and Australasia.
This CD’s companion disc, Rachmaninov Piano Concertos 2 & 3, also with Simon Trpčeski, Vasily Petrenko and The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, was released in March of 2010 on AVIE/RLPO (AV2192) to worldwide acclaim. It won the coveted Diapason d’or de l’année in France in 2010.
