The launch of The Art of Living magazine’s special edition
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015. It’s long since there have last been so torrid evenings in the first week of September, yet this didn’t discourage about 100-110 people – art lovers, journalists, PR people and friends of the The Art of Living magazine – from arriving at the opening of The Art of Living Gallery.
Located two steps from the Romanian Athenaeum and another two-three steps from the Athénée Palace Hilton, the National Art Museum and Calea Victoriei, the gallery located at no 2, on Georges Clemenceau street, proved overcrowded for all those who came to the launch of artist Adrian Borda’s exhibition Polyphonic and the presentation of the special edition of the The Art of Living magazine, dedicated to the “George Enescu” Festival.
The 12th edition of the magazine includes interviews, biographies and disc chronicles of the most famous artists present at the Festival in 2015 and was published with the support of Aqua Carpatica and the National Cultural Fund Administration (AFCN).
While sipping from a glass of wine offered by S.E.R.V.E. and admiring the furniture offered by Exotique, the guests watched a violin mini-recital of the young Mircea Dumitrescu, Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation fellow, then browsed the new magazine. Not few were those who resisted the temptation to walk fingers on stringed instruments – awarded at the “Violin Making Competition Antonio Stradivari”, in Cremona – exhibited by violinmaker Francis Gyorke alongside Adrian Borda’s paintings.
The evening of September 2 was the first of a series of art exhibitions and events at The Art of Living Gallery, which anyone can visit, at leisure, from Tuesday to Saturday – between 11:00 and 20:00.
