Yuja Wang – a mix between bold imagination and precision

Born in Beijing in a family of artists, her father was a percussionist and her mother a ballerina , Yuja Wang is the kind of artist for whom no sacrifice is too great when you’re passionate about something and you want to become a professional in that field . At the age of 28, the Chinese pianist Yuja Wang is recognized internationally for performances that combine specific spontaneity and bold imagination of youth with the discipline and precision of a mature artist.

In 2012, in collaboration with master Claudio Abbado and Mahler Chamber Orchestra led her first concert album, with “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini” and “Piano Concerto no. 2 in C minor” by Rachmaninov ,interpretations for which the pianist received a Grammy nomination in the category “Best solo instrumental of classical music.”
