The best wine and traditional cuisine

La cuisine d’Alsace and French red wines, especially from the Bordeaux Region.

Things you would like to do as tourist and you have not done before

Hiking in the Alps in the Südtirol Region (Italy). Every day another tour, walking the Alp-paths and great meals at the Almhütten (Alpine huts).

Where you would like to go in your next holiday and why?

I will go home to see my family south of Frankfurt where we have a small house. My wife, our twins and I love to reconnect with our family and friends in our home village in the countryside.

Which is your favourite holiday destination and three things you would recommend there

My favourite place is the beautiful island of Sylt in the German Northern Sea. I go there camping and one of the three things to recommend is the Beach Sauna in Rantum! A very simple but very relaxing facility. The other two things are Restaurants named Samoa Seepferdchen and Sansibar. Both located in the dunes close to the waterfront. You will find a fantastic atmosphere combined with great food and wines.

The best hotel you ever stayed in

Le Grand Hotel InterContinental Paris in the middle of Paris right next to the Opera House & Galerie Lafayette. We stayed in a spectacular Suite and loved the services, staff and ambience.
