I don’t think there is a single person out there who did not get chills while listening to the Storm from Vivaldi’s Summer or throughout the Queen Of The Night aria from Mozart’s Magic Flute.

I have been living in Romania for almost three years now, and this year’s George Enescu Festival will be my second. It is one of the most important musical events in Europe and I am looking forward to it.

In the Festival’s history of nearly 60 years, I would have loved to see live George Enescu’s Romanian Rhapsody, conducted by Sergiu Celibidache.

I think that such a spectacle and force of nature is unique and representative for the Romanian culture, capturing the authentic spirit of this country that I have come to know and love as my second home.
