Prince Matei


Produced by Vinarte - one of the post communist producers - the 2009 production is now on sale. From the first year of production - 1998, this Merlot from Vila Zorilor, Dealu Mare managed to pleasantly surprise the audience endorsed by the richness of flavors , complexity and balance of the body, becoming perhaps the first gourmet wine* in Romania. It is recommended to associate it with maturated sheep or goat cheeses, babiuc, dried beef sausages, Pleșcoi sausages, pastrami, lamb and with dark chocolate cakes with berries.

 

Arezan Fetească Neagră


The new Murfatlar produced by - M1 Crama Atelier, this new 2011 Fetească Neagră is impressive through black berries and dried plumes body aromas dressed in fine and elegant acidity. Can be served with pastrami, stuffed cabbage, roast pork. With the wines released under the name of M1 Crama Atelier, Murfatlar proves the potential of its winery and its desire to get the right place in the elite of Romanian producers.

 

Cabernet Sauvignon/ Shiraz


Created in 2011 by Lacerta producer in Dealu Mare, this blend brings together the corpulence and intensity of Cabernet Sauvignon with typical spicy flavors of Shiraz. It is an ideal companion to meals during the Christmas holidays, in the atmosphere near the Christmas tree, but at the same time can be associated with beef with green pepper sauce or orange sauce and with dark chocolate desserts.


Roșu de Petro Vaselo


A young Cabernet Sauvignon produced in 2012 near Timisoara, delights us with concentrated flavors of black berries, with the huge body specific for Cabernet Sauvignon. The major surprise is the soft and velvety tannins, making the wine more drinkable. Being unfiltered, any deposits of this wine should not scare you. It is recommended with blue beef, game, maturated cheese, and dark chocolate cakes.

 

Purpura Valahi


A Feteasca Neagra produced by Davino of Dealu Mare is considered the standard variety. Dark red, concentrated on flavors, full-bodied, with potential aging of 10 years, can be served with traditional Christmas dishes, game, beef, but it is also a wine suitable for long winter evenings spent with friends in front of the fireplace. The 2009 production can be now purchased.

Nedeea


The first red blend made exclusively from Romanian varieties, was created in 2011 in the cellar of the producer Starmina Vinarte. It manages to blend Fetească Neagră, Negru de Drăgășani and Novac in an elegant wine, well balanced with a pleasant structure in which we find the flavors of Fetească Neagră and Negru de Drăgășani balanced by the pleasant acidity and taninozity of Novac. It is the ideal wine for events and meals with friends in the long winter evenings.
